This little jaunt on the redoing of the master is almost finished. ALMOST !!!!! So I thought I would give you little peeks at it. One or two great things, I found the comforter on sale!!!!! Yes at DILLARDS for $79. AND the loveseat cover was on sale at IKEA on line for-wait for it----- $39. Now in my book that was hitting a home run.
Still have some things to do to finish it up but will tease you a bit with some peeks. Not sure about over the bed pics though, I want something I painted but right now this retired lady just doesn't have time, so I may run out to Garden Ridge and see what kind of fun things they have for right now. Maybe.
Now this oriental rug was in the dining area but I think it needed to go in the master room. I still have one red wall and this rug on the floor just makes it I think. Gotta tell a cute story about the rug and the fur babies. Now remember they are outside dogs-EXCEPT- when it is cold, hot, wind blowing, raining, snowing or anything that is not perfect weather you know. When we give them their snacks, AKA chews for their teeth but we tell them they are snacks they go promptly to the red rug. The most expensive rug in the house-of course. So when I moved this into the bedroom we gave them their chew and they trotted off to the red rug. They didn't even slow down when they saw the rug gone, just trotted on into the bedroom. They knew a good thing when they saw it.
On a pair of lamps
Of course "her majesty pillow "still has a place of honor.
There you go a change of style for us. Now the furniture we have had for oh maybe 30 years but the other stuff just comes and goes.
When I finish it I will share the whole picture.
Thanks for stopping by and seeing what is going on in my world today.
I did have a free "ciggie" signup on my other blog and now to think of a give a way for this blog.
XOOXXO
Annette
thank you for sharing your sneak peak, your beautiful cushion looks wonderful. Enjoy the weekend, hugs Annette x
ReplyDeleteThanks Netty, can't wait to see what else you do. Always a treat. xo
DeleteHi Annette, Your room looks lovely. Can't wait to see the full picture! I wish I had your energy. We've had the electricians in this week, and I'm worn out just watching them work, Blessings
ReplyDeleteOh Lesley sometimes the energy comes and goes lol gotta keep on my toes and redecorate when the whim hits me. xo
DeleteBeautiful! I'm more of a minimalist. We live by a mulch recycler and no matter what THEY say, they create LOTS of dust. I love to look at what others do to create their own space.
ReplyDeleteOh I was thinking you were going to live in West Texas Carol, we have the dust big time. Can dust in the morning and by afternoon looks like it never got dusted. I just think of it as part of the decoration. LOL I know parts of Arizona get it big time also so we get to share the dust all over the country. Have a good one. xo
Deleteokay, I want to see more!! So funny about the dogs trotting off to the red rug!
ReplyDeleteHi Janet, the dogs are so funny didn't know if they would even miss the rug or not, we thought it was under the table they liked but nope the rug is the treasure. More coming just gotta do a little more to the bedroom. Thinking of finding a bench to go at the foot of the bed. Did have one but it got a new home elsewhere in the house. things play musical chairs around here. Guess the Disabled Vets Store we come, we find treasures there always and the main guy that works there, we have gotten him to visit with us now. Have a good weekend xoxoxo
DeleteAnnette, thanks for sharing the little sneak peeks. I love that you're reusing the rug from the DR in your MBR. I used to watch a TV show where they redecorated homes with what the owners already had, just be rearranging from room to room. It was amazing how the rooms could look totally different and 1000 times better. Sounds like you have that gift. Looking forward to seeing the finished redecorated room.
